Some of the links below contain affiliate linking, which means that at no extra cost to you, I may earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase. You can read my full disclosure policy here.

Maybe you’re trying to figure out what to get mom for Mother’s day or what to get mom for Christmas…Or maybe it’s what to get mom for Hannukah (we do both in my house here).

Either way, we’ve got some awesome gift ideas for mom to get to.

This post only includes gift ideas that don’t require you to leave your house because finding gifts for mom that are delivery friendly is sort of the way I live my shopping dreams these days. I.e. since the pandemic began as a way to dull the pain of all the change I took to the motto of #ABO (or always be ordering).

You’re welcome. Again.

Sure, you will likely need to present whatever you get her in some sort of beautiful card or packaging, but that’s on you. I can only point you to the present. You gotta make it sparkle.

Spa Day – At Home

Moms are stressed and exhausted 99.9% of the time.

If you’re a working mom studies show that you’re likely working the equivalent of 2.5 jobs. If you’re a stay at home mom, odds are good at some point you’re going to experience some serious burnout from the mental and emotional exhaustion of raising your kids.

Since these pandemic times have begun, Moms have felt the brunt of the worry, stress, and overwhelm (What to do about homeschool!? And everything else…right!?).

The disparities in childcare have never been more present than under the microscope of a pandemic…

Bottom line: Mom’s need a break, like, always, but when it comes to what kind of break they need often a pampering at the spa is tops on their list.

And it doesn’t matter if they JUST had one a few weeks ago. I’ve never met a Mom who has ever said, You know? I could really live with less relaxing things.

Treat the mom in your life to a day at the spa day… safe at home!

Here’s a few items to pack into that spa day gift basket delivered to her home. If a local spa is open and safely seeing clients consider this (within reason!)

If sending mom to the spa still feels too risky, add a bonus of an actual spa day, after all this is over with a gift card to Spafinder.com

Bath Bombs

Facial Scrub

Eye Mask (I’m particularly fond of this one as additional support for every day during all of this. The crying. The sadness. The waves of grief. It helps with the puffy eyes and also just giving you an excuse to close your eyes for 10 minutes)

Luxurious Candle (this is one of my favorite scents of candles and the lavender is extra healing and calming.)

This foot spa is awesome and I was actually given it as a birthday gift and love it for safe-at-home pedicures.

For more hot tips or ideas to get you further inspired for the spa day at home check out this post from Worth Writing For that has a whole dang PLAN to get the mom in your life in the mood for some legit relaxation.

MasterClass

MasterClass is one of the most unique platforms that you’ll ever encounter when it comes to online learning.

With over 150 classes taught by some of the world’s best, there’s something for everyone on this platform – whether you’re looking to improve your writing skills, learn how to cook like a pro, or take better photos!

Mom can take cooking classes from Chef Gordan Ramsay or Chef Roy Choi, learn DJ skills from Deadmau5, or the Roots, Take an entire course on empathy, or leadership from the world’s best (including former presidents!)

There is seriously something for every mom or grandma on your shopping list.

Stitch Fix – Subscription Clothes Boxes

I don’t have time to shop.

Most moms I know, love new clothes but they too don’t seem to have the luxury of time that they once had to shop. Especially now.

Enter Stich Fix!

Stitch Fix delivers a selection of clothes carefully curated and styled by a personal stylist but catered directly to your taste and preferences.

You can even make a Pinterest board with lewks you like and send it to your stylist!

I use their kid fix’s too for the boys and I love it (and more importantly my boys love it). I’ve been stocking up on all the loungewear for them recently as we’ve basically been destroying the knees of every set of pajamas as that’s all we live in.

My oldest is really rough on his clothes and in his most recent box, he received three pairs of pants that had re-enforced knees and they are the ONLY pants he wants to wear.

I love it because it saves me hours of searching for re-enforced knee pants (it’s surprisingly hard to find pants like this!)

While I’d love to do some leisure shopping for me or the boys sometimes I just can’t. I fill things in between fixes but these have become the staples and even include shoes, purses, and jewelry!

Stitch fix now has freestyle available which I personally use more than the actual stitches. I personally love the selection and choices.

With limited quantities, I feel like I can get original pieces at an affordable price and also not look like every other basic B strolling the aisles of Target.

I’ve been using Stitch Fix for years both pregnant and not, and I’ve gotten to know my stylist, and she’s gotten to know me.

She’s helped me navigate trends, weight loss and weight gain and then weight loss again, and made it ridiculously easy (and affordable) to look and feel my best.

23 and Me Subscription

A few years ago my mom gifted my husband and I the 23 and Me tests and it was and is still hands down one of our favorite gifts to receive TO DATE.

While I was not surprised to learn about my genetic background (55% Ashkenazi Jew and the rest “European.” )

I was SUPER pleased to learn that neither Chris nor I have the gene for late onset Alzheimers disease, which is something my Dad and Grandmother both had.

What’s even better is this is the gift that keeps on giving…And learning about your ancestral history could be a really fun way

Every once and a while we get emails detailing some new information about our genetic composition. A few weeks ago Chris actually got an email that says that he has a very small degree of Vietnamese in his genetics.

This information was oddly fascinating and made us wonder what other surprises are lurking in our DNA.

Amazon periodically puts it on sale but click here and for $199 you can purchase both the DNA test and an Ancestry kit which is incredibly comprehensive.

The COVID 19 virus seems to be so unpredictable, so it’s possible some insights available from your test and it might be a cool thing to know as more is revealed.

Also turns out the 23 and Me science nerds are helping the COVID task force to investigate genetic components of the disease. I’ve been emailed every few months to answer questions about my experience with the disease which feels interesting and unique. If the mom in your life is into learning about all of this (and perhaps additional ancestor stories too with the add on of ancestry.com) you’ve got a gift idea for mom that really satisfies.

To Do List | Let’s Fucking Do This – A To-Do List To Get Shit Done

$1.99

A Nice Bottle of Wine (or 12 of Them!)

Or whiskey. Or vodka.

Or whatever the Mom in your life’s particular alcoholic pleasure may be. If you’re wondering what to get the wife for valentine’s day, this is it. Because if she’s anything like me, the wine at the end of the day is the only thing that can help me shift from work mode to wife and family appreciation mode.

I’ve never drunk so much as I have in the past several months.

Except for maybe my senior year of college when I finally turned 21. LOL. Sob.

Anyway, if wine is on the list consider signing her up for a wine of the month club, you’re going to want to invest in the OG wine of the month club…aka THE WINE OF THE MONTH CLUB!

FUN FACT ALERT…when I was living in Chicago in my early 20’s… my parents gifted me this exact wine of the month club along with the cheese of the month club for Chrismukkah one year and I was a starving waitress (aka writer) at the time and I swear to god there were days when I only ate the cheese and only drank wine because that’s whatcha do…

But be advised! In these post-Pandemic times, you might have to sign up for two or more subscription boxes.

Convenience and joy = A perfect unique gift for the mom who has everything.

Also mom life is only half survivable these days because of my heavy rotation of coffee —> Wine —> coffee. and so on.

WYLD CBD

WYLD CBD

Since we’re on the topic of chilling the fuck out, let’s talk for a moment about CBD. As many parents turned to mood altering substances at the height of the pandemic, I was no stranger to THC/CBD. In fact, I’d already been using edibles to help with some migraines. (Don’t come at me, I live in California where it’s 100000% legal and also awesome.)

Until the rest of the country gets on board with legalizing marijuana, we’ve got easy/plentiful access to it’s not quite the same, but good enough little brother, CBD.

One of my most favorite brands is this WYLD brand. If you can get THC locally, I highly recommend their pomegranate hybrid edibles. But if you can’t, these CBD products are another way to promote some relaxation without the calories of wine or the expense of a fancy day at the spa.

Loop these in with your spa day at home kit and you’ve actually created a really awesome time for the mom in your life.

Have the Kids Make Her Something

The downside to this is that it requires that you might have to go to a place like Michaels to find some crafting materials. A few lucky partners will excel in this. My hubby? He was a natural at making these bracelets for me for Christmas, and it is easily my favorite gift that I may have ever received.

Be sure to check out my post about easy craft ideas for mom to get some of that inspo!

I’ve taken the liberty of creating a Pinterest board full of gift ideas that even the most non-crafty person can in theory, pull off. Check it out here!

Pictures of Her Babies! Or Grandbabies!

Consider a keepsake that she can either bring with her to work, keep in her car, or wear. Maybe y’all have pictures of the summer activities with kids you did in the past!

I’m sort of obsessed with this frameo ap and frame. My brother and I got this for my mom at the start of the pandemic and now, every few days/weeks, I’ll “beam” new photos of her grandbabies directly to her office. She’ll usually text me a few minutes later because she’s heard the “ding” and raves about the new photos. It’s kept her connected even while we’ve been apart all this time.

MINTED Personalized Photo Gifts

For more of those perfect gifts for mom, Minted offers one-of-a-kind designs that you can simply upload a photo of you or your favorite people and suddenly it’s on a calendar, or a mug, or more!

The Gift of A Luxurious Beach Towel/Blanket, AKA Sand Cloud

Sand Cloud is one of those things that IYKYK (if you know you know). I bought a set of four of them this past summer and when I tell you how incredible they are! They’re super absorbant, very warm, and my boys love them both as a blanket for cold winter days in the car, or as a towel for running down to the community pool/heading to the beach.

Sand Cloud’s technology is all about repelling that annoying sand that gets all over everything the second you put down a towel at the beach.

It’s safe to say that I’ve used this inside my house for sand play as well (even magic sand play!) and successfully kept all the sand contained to the blankets! The patterns and designs are also beautiful PLUS they’re climate-conscious. In fact, many towels come with donations to help conserve our oceans (which is a feel-good gift for the mom who has everything that keeps going.
I also heard from a friend that this is an awesome gift for a girlfriend’s mom or a gift for a mother-in-law. It’ ‘s thoughtful, practical, and a very neutral gift making you the perfect son/daughter-in-law, or future one if you’re into that kind of thing!

An Original One Of A Kind Item

There are SO many cute things on Etsy or Amazon that are 100% original and 100% unique, just like your boo.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed and have no idea where to begin, I suggest checking out Home Grown Ceramics, an LA-based pottery company that makes 100% original pieces and sells them on Etsy. I’m a huge fan of their chunky coffee mugs that make me want to actually reheat my coffee and drink it as quickly as I can while it’s actually hot.

Something to Help Her Fight for Justice and Equality…

If the Mom in your life has been even remotely paying attention to the political temperature of our country then she might be walking feeling the numb/rage/yoyo of it all.

Consider something that she can wear, drink out of, or put on her desk to help her feel inspired to #keepgoing in the never-ending fight for equal rights and equal representation in congress.

If she just needs a little inspo for the shit lasagna that is surviving a pandemic…

Then maybe you’ll want to check out my funny gift guide for the person who has run out of fucks.

The Gift of More Time

Since I started using my Meal Planner Template I’ve been able to free up time to be a more present mom and a more attentive wife.

Especially with Pandemic style homeschooling and home-working…

It sounds silly that something so simple as meal planning can do that but I swear it can.

Read more about it here, and splurge on time for her.

The Gift of Less Fucks to Give

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck was the book I was listening to on Audible when I decided that I wanted to start the blog. It’s one of those inspiring and also “aha” kind of books that can help you figure out how and where to spend your energy.

Creative Live Classes

If the mom in your life is looking to expand her talents and is curious about learning more about things such as photography and other creative mediums then Creative Live Classes may be the perfect gift.

This is only if she’s feeling like she needs an outlet.

My mom has been super keen on learning the piano (and playing way more since quarantine began back last March!)

This is the kind of thing I love looking through for additional courses for her.

There are more than 1500 different types of classes ranging from photography to graphic design, arts and crafts, and even music and audio recording. If the mom in your life wants to feed that need to create this is a perfect gift for her.

A creators pass will give you access to all 1500 plus classes (and only for $299) which works out to be about $25 a month. If that feels like too big of an investment, the lowest budget membership is around $17.

Kindle Unlimited Membership

Where else can she read all these inspiring books but on her unlimited kindle membership?

Give her the gift of Kindle Unlimited (yes click on that link and it will take you there!) and she can read in bed, continue to listen in the car, and on her phone or iPad while she’s waiting for her spa treatment that you bought her above complete with cucumbers on her eye lids.

Since the pandemic began I’ve been able to read more for fun.

It’s crazy but it gives me some peace and an escape that isn’t social media or the news.

Books have been a stress relief for me and if the mom in your life feels similarly, you’re gonna wanna hook her up with this.

Some must read books for her to consider when she’s ready to take on the fucking world and be even more of a badass…

You Are a Badass

But even more than that, give her some time to actually read the things that she’s been eyeing. Moms need downtime too.

An Opportunity to Practice Mindfulness and Journalling

It’s no question that as a busy mom, she may not have a lot of time to slow down, be reflective, and decompress (or energize herself for the day) which is why this journal is perfect.

The 5 Second Journal: The Best Daily Journal and Fastest Way to Slow Down, Power Up, and Get Sh*t Done by Mel Robbins is SO Awesome.

Mel wrote the best seller “The 5 Second Rule” and this journal capitalizes on that concept which is basically here’s how to get your shit done.

I love this journal because it helps me set a tone for my day, gets me focused on action, and helps me eliminate distractions and that feeling of overwhelm and dread.

Even in these Post – Pandemic times, sitting ingratitude is a big deal and I start each day with a little bit o’dat and it really sets the tone.

Record One Line a Day

I love this sweet little notebook to write down some silly or thoughtful or ridiculous statement that your toddler or baby says over the course of five years. What a cool thing to look back on together!

I’ve been writing one line a day for the past three years and CANNOT WAIT until next year to see what we were up to. Some days it’s full of fun info and other days it’s like “went to the store. did laundry.” Other days it’s like “insurrectionists stormed the capitol.” Or “We are in quarantine for a lock down because of Covid-19.” Lemme tell you the past few years are intense to reflect on. But it also gives me a lot of really great perspective.

Hell, I may even share it with the boys when they’re older to remind them of these crazy days.

Better Sleep (and More of It)

It’s no question that the mom in your life has sat up at night worrying. Especially now.

Sleep is a gift that all mothers may want more than anything else yet, and yet it’s never given enough.

Let her sleep in as a sweet gift, or occupy the kids making the above crafts so she can take a long nap without having to set an alarm or even turn on the baby monitor.

But don’t just let her get sleep, give the gift of even better sleep!

By and large, the Sleep Number Comfort Select series of pillows gets insanely good reviews for improving sleep. I love it because it’s also supportive to my neck which tends to carry a lot of added #momstress.

You can splurge on a pillow for her by clicking this sleepy link right here.

Lake Pajamas

Since we’re on the topic of sleep, and lounging around, I cannot let this post go without recommending Lake Pajamas. I first heard about them from one of my favorite podcasts for moms called “The Deep Dive,” and as Jessica St. Clair says “ooohMAMI!” They are so soft and luxurious.
I actually bought a pair of these for my mom and for myself and I can promise you they are comfy, cozy, and come in whole family sets too!

I’m obsessed, to say the least.

Pro tip get one for him to and check out my unique gifts for dad post for more.

A Notebook With You at All Times

I’ve been using Moleskine notebooks for years and my biggest gripe is that I don’t like carrying it around all the time and it’s just not as practical in a digital world.

Enter the “smart Moleskine” which digitally sync’s your written words to your phone and vice versa! If the mom in your life loves takin notes this is gonna be her favorite thing ever.

A Blanket She Can Snuggle Her Babies or Grand-babies With

My Mom lives in Florida. I live in California. Last year I bought her a blanket from Canvas Discount that has a black and white photo of my boys on it and my mom LOVES it and uses it almost daily to “snuggle” her boys even though she’s thousands of miles away.

I highly recommend that you use professional-quality photos with this though.

Because lighting matters.

And seeing a photo blown up to that huge of a size can really bring out all the flaws…

We used a black and white photo because it had a more classic look and feel to it and even though it’s kind of hilariously gaudy, it’s still cozy and sweet.

A Weighted Blanket (Aka more, better sleep)

Are you noticing a theme here for the mom in your life? Sleep. She wants more sleep.

Get her some with a weighted blanket that also has this luxurious cooling effect. I’ve got two recommendations for you. The luxury model and the “it’ll do” model.

Both are going to feel like getting a big ol hug and be very relaxing and calming.

Fun fact, my hubby bought me the luxury modeled weighted blanket after reading about the gift idea on this post.

Since I’ve had it it’s easier for me to fall asleep and stay asleep and that’s really a major thing.

This thing is magic and I’m out in a few minutes (if not a few seconds!) flat!

Be sure to get a weight that is 10% of her body weight.

Bob and Brad Mini Massage Gun

This is a huge hit on my Valentine’s Day Gift ideas for her post…and for good reason!

I have this massage gun and it has been life-changing! There are days when you’re bound up with work or kids, trying hard but feeling stressed out from frustration over how much easier your life would be if only someone else did something about it – well now they do!!

My husband bought me mine as Christmas present last year (I think he knew what kind) & since then haven’t looked back–it does everything promised plus more: takes away soreness quicker than ever before; relieves muscle knots

If you are still struggling with that perfect gift for mom, I hope this list has given you some inspiration. I know firsthand how hard it can be to buy a thoughtful and meaningful present, but I also want the mom in your life to feel loved and appreciated on her special day.

So whatever the occasion might be, whether it’s Christmas or Mother’s Day or just because she deserves something nice every once in a while…buying one of these gifts for the mom who’s got it all will show her how much she is loved!

That Dyson Hair Dryer

If you’ve spent any time on social media following any of the latest hair trends (hello center part) then you’ll know this hair dryer has become the IT machine to have in your kit. Yes, the price tag is ‘spencive but I can also promise it’s worth every penny especially if you live in a climate where the chances of frizz is high.

My mom got me this drier several years ago and I love everything about it. And be sure to check out the attachments or the straightener or curler for the mom who has it all already.

Vionic Slippers

If the mom in your life likes to live that cozy Sunday morning life…then she’s gonna want some of these cozy, comfy slippers from Vionic.

They have this sort of foam bed technology that molds to your feet the more you wear them. Trust me.

My good friend bought me a pair for Christmas last year and it took a short while but once they were broken in they were and still remain my favorite house shoes.

An Ice Maker

If the mom in your life loves that ice that’s kind of like cruncjhy but also nice and cool and refreshing, then you’ll want to get her this ice maker. It’s the perfect gift idea for mom who has it all.

And Something to Put all that Ice In…A Stanely Tumbler or A Simple Modern One!

Yes, they’ve been all over your FYP and it seems like all the Basic B’s have one at this point, but ya’ll they really are that good. They do keep the cold drinks cold for so long and I love that they fit perfectly in my cup holder.

Amazon tends to price gouge on these bad boys, but keep an eye out or even better go to the website directly – you shouldn’t pay more than $40 for a Stanley mug. They are worth it. A really nice dupe is the Simple Modern which (tbh) I prefer the handle of the Stanley but both hold the same amount of fluid ounces, are dishwasher friendly, and the price point of the Simple Modern is $30 which is a Steal!

So depending on the mom in your life, i.e. if she likes a trend, then go with the Stanley. If she doesn’t mind being a bit more frugal and not TOTALLY on trend, go with the Simple Modern.

More Birthday Gifts for Mom

If you’re looking for the perfect birthday gift for the mom who has everything, I’ve got some more ideas for you here:

Owala Water Bottle

The BEST thing about this water bottle is that it has the option for sipping through a built-in straw, that also allows you to chug for more free-flowing drinking (like after an intense workout or a hot day on the beach)
I also love that it doesn’t spill if it tips over, and has a cute little handle that folds down to protect against spillage.

But the downside is it doesn’t fit in all cup holders in most cars. In fact, there is only one cup holder that it fits in in our cars and it’s in the back seat so it’s not super convenient.

I love the adorable colors though and honestly, the way I have been living is room temp chuggable water is in the Owala, and ice-cold sipping water is in the Stanley and I’m a healthy, happy, hydrated bitch these days.
The birthday mom in your life needs these.

What is best gift for mom?

There are so many awesome gift ideas for mom in this ultimate guide for gift ideas for the mom who has everything. From luxury pajamas to one of a kind keep sakes to tools that keep her feeling independent and strong, like these tool recommendations from the TrTrans Handy Ma’am, Mercury Stardust:

If you’re not familiar with Mercury Stardust, she offers advice for women who may not have been shown to do the most basic of home improvement tasks, in a way that doesn’t dumb it down, and makes it accessible and non-judgemental.

She’s super inspirational (and trust and believe I watched her commenting on the viral tik tok about how to fix a screw that won’t go into the wall and it was perfect.)

What do you give a woman who has everything?

The woman who has everything probably doesn’t need much, so in this instance, I really try to consider the thought that goes into it.

This guide for gift ideas for the woman who has everything should get those creative juices flowing, but if you’re still stuck, you’ll want to consider her likes, dislikes, what she has mentioned in passing, and things that she might not otherwise buy herself.
She may not “need” another towel, for example, but a Sand Towel is a luxury that really can make a woman feel spoiled.

She may not “need” another water bottle, but a Stanley or even a Yeti like this, could be the game changer thing she didn’t even know she needed.

What Do Moms Want The Most?

No mom was created exactly the same; each has her own likes, interests, and priorities. However, in general, what most moms want the most is to feel loved, appreciated, and supported.

They want to feel like their hard work and sacrifices are noticed and valued. Some other things that many moms may appreciate that cost NOTHING include:

  1. Quality time with their children and family
  2. Help with household chores and errands
  3. A break from their responsibilities to relax and recharge
  4. Thoughtful gestures and small surprises, such as a handwritten note or a favorite treat
  5. Opportunities to pursue their interests and hobbies
  6. Practical support with parenting and other challenges.

It’s essential to keep in mind that what each mom wants may differ depending on their individual circumstances and preferences. The best way to show your appreciation and support for your mom is to listen to her and understand what she needs and wants the most.
