This list includes plenty of easy chicken breast recipes that you can make with a pan an oven and/or a stove.
I tried to include a variety of chicken breast dinner recipes that can appeal to a variety of home cooks trying to make dinner delicious.
Some of these chicken breast dinners actually suggest using chicken thighs, which are super yummy and very budget friendly. But if chicken thigh dinner recipes aren’t your thing, no worries! Just substitute chicken breasts and add a little bit more cooking time to adjust for the extra thickness of the breasts.
Best One Pan Chicken Breast Dinners
The one-pan chicken breast dinner is your next best friend. A few of these recipes below also utilize chicken thighs and honestly I prefer them in some contexts because a) they’re cheap and b) they’re delicious. But I’ve totally made them with chicken breasts as well and it’s just as good.
One Pan Lemon Garlic Chicken - From 12 Tomatoes
Similar to the Instant Pot version above this one has that same refreshing lemony taste. I love that it’s all done in one pan and if you want you can even cook your rice in the remaining dregs of the sauce to really up the flavor quotient.
Change Your Life Chicken From the Lazy Genius Collective
If you subscribe to my mailing list you’ll know I’m a huge fan of this. We eat this at least once a week, and I vary it enough that it doesn’t feel like its the same thing (hot tip don’t make it with the same veggies every time!) It’s just as yummy with chicken thighs or with chicken breasts.
This is also one of my laziest dinners.

Balsamic Glazed Caprese Chicken - From Cafe Delites
This one is admittedly a bit fancier but it’s still one pan (that goes in and out of the oven so it’s best if you have a pan like a cast iron pan or a pyrex that can go back and forth without too much hassle). I love the Italian flavors of this one and it’s so good with some pasta or if you’re doing low carb, some sauteed spinach on the side.
Best Oven Fried Chicken From Cakes Cottage
I love fried chicken so much but I hate the extra oil/fat that’s involved in actually frying it. Enter Baked fried chicken (whuuuuttt?) This recipe is exactly like it sounds: The best. I love the seasoning mix and panko crumbs make the crust super crunchy and yummy. Hot tip, double up on the panko/egg batter because it can fall off a bit when you first layer it on.
Easy Chicken Lo Mein From Damn Delicious
Not only is this Chicken Breast dinner a one pan wonder, but it’s also done in about 15 minutes flat. And it’s minus a lot of the extra hidden ingredients (like MSG) that a lot of Asian food restaurants tend to add without your even knowing it.
Chicken Avocado Casserole From Cave Man Keto
This is a one-pan chicken dish that is also keto friendly. I serve with rice or cauliflower rice.
One - Skillet Sweet and Salty Chicken Thighs From Kiwi And Bean
Sorry, these aren’t chicken breasts, but you can so easily swap them out for some. Just increase the cook time on the breasts depending on how thick they are.
Skillet Chicken with Mexican Green Rice From Meaningful Eats
Again. Mexican food for the win. It’s so flavorful and so cost friendly and when it’s all in one pan it’s momma friendly because that means my ass has less shit to clean up after dinner. It’s also super toddler-friendly.
Easy Chicken Stir Fry From Hip 2 Save
This is one of those easy and healthy dishes that you can throw together with whatever veggies you have left in the house.
If you buy the pre-cooked rice then toss that in the microwave for less clean up. Otherwise, make your rice alongside this dish to make it a two-pan meal.
Chicken Stuffed With Bacon and Goat Cheese From Just Plain Cooking
This is so decadent and so yummy and so easy it’s stupid. If you buy pre-cooked bacon that will help make this a one pan meal, otherwise you’ll need to fry up some bacon first (but we just use the same pan we made the bacon in to cook the rest of the meal which goes from stove to oven).
Weeknight Chicken Breast Dinner Favorites
If you're in the mood for cooking or if you just want to switch up the routine of what you’ve been making these weeknight chicken breast dinner favorites are perfect. They’re also really great if you’re hosting a dinner party or if you just wanna make it a date night at home.
Chicken Pot Pie Noodle Bake by Delish
Stop everything and make this meal. It’s a bit complex so it’s a really good one to have on a Sunday when you may have more time to spare to get your dinner on the table. But it’s heaven in a dish I tell you.
Tuscan Garlic Chicken by the Recipe Critic
The sauce in this is so delicious my husband thought it was a soup and wanted to eat it straight out of the pan. It’s not a soup. But it’s really yummy over pasta, rice or cauliflower rice.
‘This one is definitely Keto friendly if that’s your jam.
Ps. I don’t like sun dried tomatoes and I totally just didn’t add them. Didn’t affect the taste at all.
This one is keto friendly and comes from my pals over at Have Butter Will Travel which focuses on foods that are friendly to a ketogenic diet. It’s a bit complex to make on a weeknight, but a perfect summer salad or something to prep ahead of time and throw together when you get home from work.

Orange Cranberry Chicken Breasts from Just Plain Cooking
This dish is super comforting and has all of my favorite fall flavors (cranberry, orange, cinnamon!) When we make this the whole house smells like fall and it’s kind of the best.
Gluten Free Baked Chicken Breasts from Just Plain Cooking
This recipe, admittedly, looks kinda gross at first simply because it combines mayo and potato chips. However, if you’re gluten-free then this recipe is going to give you all the feels. Plus it’s a super easy and low-cost dinner you can throw together on a weeknight with whatever you have in your pantry.
Low Carb French Garlic Chicken from Two Sleevers
I love french food. I also love dishes that are simple to make on a weeknight and also decadent enough to serve for a dinner party and this is one of those dishes. Toss some string beans and add some pasta and you’ve got gourmet at your dinner table.
Chicken Piccata from the Food Network and my fav, Giada De Laurentis:
Also a favorite in my house. I love how refreshing and comforting this dish is.
